This is where it all started! We completed this behemoth of an indoor hydroslides attraction, with its huge capacity of over 1900 rides per hour, as a seamless addition to QEII Park’s ‘Atlantis’ themed aquatic leisure facilities, in 2005. It was New Zealand’s largest indoor water slides attraction, with a mix of 5 hydroslides and a combined length of about half a kilometre. And still the queues were huge!
With 2 tube rides and 3 different body slides, riders couldn’t get enough of the multiple experiences, even more so when we added light and sound. These slides were a key entertainment drawcard for the QEII Park and Christchurch generally, before the QEII Pool was unfortunately destroyed in the Canterbury earthquakes.
